the way things live

My grandfather's clock
My name is Rachel, I'm initially from Guildford, in Surrey, which is about an hour from London.
I love the idea of bringing the past into the present and really connecting with things that touch me and remind me of my family and my roots, where I am from and the people that are the most dear to me.
My grandfather's clock is made of wood, it has the most beautiful picture of farm life which is also connected generationally to me and is another important aspect of my life, even though I don't live that now it's very much present in who I am as a person. It's something that perhaps I will go back to, I hope, one day. And I think that the clock helps me to remember those times, to reconnect with something much much greater than this moment. And by that I mean to something, something to do with time.
One of the other aspects that I've noticed in my work particularly, I work from home, is that the sound and the gentle tick-tock of the clock really helps people to feel calm and relaxed, somehow jut being able to let go and be in the moment.
